"Bad luck" Day

Qingdao 380Thursday 2nd september. This morning, after another hard night I decided to look on the Internet in order to find a new hotel. I had in mind one villa I had seen at 228RMB, but no room were available so we booked for another one and there... surprise. There was an hotel just in front of the chinese one where we were (180RMB per night) called the Santiago hotel. The room were at 670RMB the first time we saw it, but on the Internet we found a room at 230RMB! So we booked for 5 nights, we only had to walk 5 meters to carry our things. The room was a little dark but with a better bed, a proper bathroom and good air conditioner. I have to say that I was sincerely sad because the owner of the chinese hetol were very nice people, kind, helpful and everything, so I was... yeah... sad. Now we are in a big hotel for tourists, and it's not familial an all... I just hope I'll finally sleep or we will go back to the previous hotel.
After the switching we took our towels and swimsuits, and took a bus to the outside of the town, heading to the countryside! There we got of the bus in the middle of nowhere, and no sign of the beauty spot we were looking for. The Qingdao 400walking day had began.
We walked and walked until we saw on the mountain an enormous chinese palace with temples around. We went in this big and beautiful place and in it was a restaurant! But has we were broke, we couldn't afford the major part of the dishes so we took one salad, one cheap meat dish and two bowls of rice. The atmosphere, the decoration, everything was beautiful, an alliance between modern and ancient chinese culture, really... astonishing. We succed eating for 58 RMB, but it was a shame, tea and watermelon were free, we felt like a couple of french scrooges... Whatever, a good discovery!
After that we took a bus and stopped at a board where it was written something like "Great! Coast leasure street! Straight and then left!" Of course we missed the stop, walked one, walked again, and we couldn't find this ******* street... James wanted to see the sea, so we took a little way trhough construction sites, and I think it could have been great, but an abandoned dog began to bark at us and run towards us so we freaked out and went on the initial road to find this Coast Leisure Street... Finnaly, after one hour, tired and shoes broken (litterally) we arrive in a desertic zone with german houses and things under construction. Just another fake plan... we walked again to find a bus, stopped at the beach, tookbeach shoes because mine were REALLY broken, and just enjoyed the beach, the sea, swimming, and UNO... I forgot to mention that near the beach we found a bookstore where English books cost between 5 and 10RMB. So... Couldn't resist!
