Looking for DVDs... And Tsingtao Museum!

Qingdao 468This morning we red like hours before going out to a restaurant called "Jazz beefsteack". We (or I) really wanted some western good food (or I should say meat...) so this restaurant looked... pretty good. The service was escellent, they served us tea, soup, vegetables, a little cup of sweet wine like porto, and then... the dishes... There really is a problem with chinese "western" cooking. It's NEVER western. They have to cook it in a chinese way, and the steack was... all but beef. More like pork. It looked and tasted like pork. Sadly... The spaguettis were good and same for the eggs but it was just infuriating... Whatever... We walked a little in the rich neighbourhood, looking through Porsche shop windows, walking in a mall plenty of Chanel, Gucci and other monstruosly expensive brands to avoid the rain (again!), and then we decided to look for DVDs... Just like that (and also to digest the meal because taking the bus now would have made us puke..). Finally we took the bus to the center, direction the beer street and the Tsingtao-museum-factory-bar beer-shop! That was cool; especially the package process with all the cans and the bottles being shut Qingdao 500(really amazing process, trust me! And I have photos and videos to prove it!) and the 2 bars where the entry gave us 2 cup of beer ; one raw, one draft. The draf is softer, but the raw tastier, I prefered this last one, so did James. Then, we walked, trying to find the cultural street. There, bookstores everywhere, antiquities, beautiful ones in jade, beautiful things everywhere, but no signs of DVDs... So we walked, and walked, finding another neighbourhood, typically chinese, with a market and all, and we walked again, and again, asking people where to go and going everytime in different directions. Even when we found a computer electronic block, with all those malls and shops, we hardly found DVDs... Finally, when we decided to go home (as always...), a little lighted board appeared in front of us... DVD 9. Qingdao 520DVD 9. DVD 9. Yeeeehaaa!! I was like.. really, REALLY thrilled. Imagine, 5 hours walking, not finding these damn DVDs and inally, finally.... a little shop where we found 19 interesting and non-viewed ones! ! Youpeee!! Just enjoyed the moment for 30min outside the shop, drinking a lemon-ginger-sort-of-tea-thing with 3 RMB popcorn, just, enjoying...
