First view of Qingdao

7h30 we arrived at the Qingdao train station. First signs of the sea ; many people selling shells. The weather was beautiful, we walked along the sea shore looking for an hotel. After a few hotels too expensive we decided to stay in a chinese hotel (180RMB), minimum confort. We thought we were in the afternoon but it was only 9AM! The beach was nice but it's a very touristic area. It was indeed confirmed by the ugly and disgusting (and really expensive!) restaurant where we ate near this beach.. So we decided to go and find 2nd beach (the best one on internet, that's what foreigners say!).
Oh and I almost forgot, there was a man like... 40 who was putting fireworks in the street and it was really noisy. Later we learned that it was Money Day in China, and people were making fireworks everywhere to have good fortune in the year to come.
So... we took the bus to the "Number 2 bathing beach" and walked through a beautiful pine forest with big millionary houses, where there even was a private school with an observatory. And... there we were! The number 2 bathing beach, enclosed by trees and a castle, with blue sky and sun, with young bridemaids in beautiful dresses being taken in picture by photographers. There were 9 bridemaids, few people on the beach, and that was just paradise. Seriously, this beach was heaven. We stayed there a couple of hours, swimmed a little (the water was so warm!) and then we head back to the hotel. Only black point in this ; by fear of pickpockets I didn't take my phone to take pictures... so the sunny day hasn't been recorded ;'(
Later we headed to the center of the town, direction the Tsingtao Beer Street! There were several restaurants offreing seefood and pressured beer, so we just went in one, and James was thrilled because everywhere there were seafood... Only seafood... No meat... So I ate vegetables, we took pressured beer (really good one) and because we were really tired we took the taxi for the first time to go back to the hotel.
